Queen's Pleasure is happiest on stage, where the four band members can merge into one unstoppable organism. The group found one another during their teenage years and soon grew into a chosen family. Armed with only their musical instincts and a blind trust in each other, their live shows always create something that is difficult to put into words. The energy is an inexhaustible resource, where you could fixate on each individual band member alone for an entire show.
The debut album Words To Live By, Suits To Die In saw them dive into the studio in Saffron Walden (UK) with producer Edd Hartwell (The Kooks, The Lathums, Jeff Beck). For the successor Shy Bairns Get Nowt, they sought isolation. Over a winter period on the Dutch island Vlieland, they recorded the entire album in nine days with Excelsior Recordings founder and producer, Frans Hagenaars (Johan, Scram C Baby, Caesar, Darryl-Ann). Everything was recorded live-on-tape, no nonsense, with the bare minimum of overdubs and embellishments. What remains is a record of twelve tracks that is more powerful than ever. Their most honest music to date.
