New single GLIESE

Geldrop, the south of The Netherlands, summer 1945. My granddad is an early adapter avant la lettre. Right after the war, he films his wife and six children, especially my dad, who’s six months old then, with an 8mm camera. The family Roggeveen is a Protestant enclave in the Catholic south.
My grandma, who will be diagnosed MS, shortly after this moment, is still jumping around the garden with her children. My dad, Jan Pieter who is a late baby is taken upon the shoulders by his 14 year older brother Lo. He’s a little boy, unaware of the war that just ended, and of the life that’s waiting for him. With Gliese, I tried to capture the feeling of joy of the moment and the emotions I feel when watching these images.
